How to remove your press-on nails
Remove your press-on nails carefully with this simple, gentle method. Follow the steps to remove them without damaging your nails.
Prepare warm soapy water
Fill a bowl with warm water and add a few drops of mild dish soap. The water should be comfortably warm, not hot.
Soak your nails
Keep your fingertips in the soapy water for 10–15 minutes. This helps to gently dissolve the glue.
Gently loosen the edges
Use a cuticle pusher or your fingernail to gently lift the edge of the press-on nail. Work slowly and never force it off.
Remove adhesive residue
Once the press-on nails are removed, you can gently file away any glue residue with a soft nail file or buffer. Be careful to protect your natural nails.
Hydrate and nourish
Apply cuticle oil and hand cream to nourish your nails and skin. Let your nails rest before applying a new set.
A nice tip
Never pull or force off the press-on nails! This can damage your natural nails. Always soak them first for a gentler removal.
